Hi Folks,
It has been a relatively quite week as we settle into the new place. I did get to upload a bunch of new videos to my webpage and I sure hope you enjoy them. Go to www.Clawdan.com and then to the listen and watch page to find them. Clawhammer lessons, even changing strings and a clawhammer AND a fiddle version of Sandy Boys - Eddn Hammons' version as well as some better views of the basic drop thumb stroke.
This area of my site is growing thanks to the videos which Christine - one of my San Diego students - has been taking for her reference. She as been kind enough to share them with us and allow me to post them for all to see. Thanks to Christine.
I enjoyed meeting and working with some of you here yesterday at our Chat Room Workshop. It was a new experience for me and quite a different one, but I did enjoy it and hope yall did also.
Well, we have a busy couple of weeks coming up. Selling the 99 Airstream (contact me if interested). Saturday in San Diego for a full day of Students before heading up to California to pick up an 03 Airstream next week. Then on to Salome, AZ for the Fiddlers' gathering there. Looking forward to a few days of sitting and playing tunes tunes tunes. Please come on over and join us as we work to make the old time presence more visible. No charge for this event, but it would be nice to have you join our chapter of the AZ OT Fiddlers' association in support of the event.
As many of you now know, Clawcamp Ozarks is taking registrations. $250 for this fun working week of clawhammer banjo at the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, AR. AND Clawcamp East is now "Scratchcamp" and open to both new fiddle and clawhammer banjo students. You can be just starting out or excited about revisiting and working on your basics. We'll be at Jorma's Fur Peace Ranch in Pomeroy, Ohio again this year. A great place with great facilities and food. I do hope many of you can make it this year. It costs a bit more but it includes EVERYTHING from cabins to class to meals and even a walk in the woods.
All for now. Enjoy the videos and...
Play Nice,
Dan

Started the "learned" way in gradeschool but dropped it after highschool. Came round again about 20 years again after a couple of years playing old time banjo and it just stuck. Mom played guitar and Dad called square dances, so I guess I comes by it natural! [:0]
