Okay, okay. I’m a slug. Haven’t updated these homepages on banjo OR fiddle hangout even though I promised I would BUT hey, it’s been a busy time. You know us pro-fesh-nal mu-zi-chuns – got to make hay while the old sun shines!
I can make excuses, the bi-weekly trips to San Diego to teach, the drive to Georgia to get the latest Airstream (a nice 25 footer btw). End of year bookkeeping. Even finishing the book project with Bob Carlin! Yes, that was the big time taker. BUT you can look forward to a new Banjo tab book of Kyle Creed tunes later this year. Mel Bay has agreed to publish it so as soon as we have a tentative release date, I’ll let you know.
Other than that, well, we are finally getting settled as “rounders” in Yuma. Can’t believe it has been a year now! The warm summer was great and the (relatively) warm winters are just wonderful. Supposed to be in the 70’s this week and the sun shines most every day. I know, don’t rub it in. But hey, just a hop over here for some sun and lesson time. OR better yet, plan a trip over to San Diego yourself for Clawcamp this year. Still a few spots there and time to plan.
Other news is that I am hoping to make the big fiddle gathering at Weiser, Idaho this year and since that is towards the end of June, I figure I’ll head over to our Ohio place from there for Clawcamp East. SO, I’m starting to look into gigs for the last week of June from there to Ohio. Hoping to be in at Ohio by the 4th of July so anyone along that route. I’ll likely take I-84 to I-80 and east along there so that gives you some idea.
Well, off for errands of the day so I’ll leave this now and yes, hope to update you more often this new year of 2010.
