I learned this cross-tuned EDAE, but I like the D drone I've heard in some recordings so I went with DCGD... This fiddle (my favorite!) is a Guarneri copy made by Ottomar Hausmann.

Here's a Beast! A viola with a classical set up strung with BLACK DIAMOND fiddle strings (due to their length, the viola is 16.5") and cross-tuned ADAD. (Any wonder why I name this instrument 'Frank')??
