I suspect you have a fairly strong case of "red light fever"
(recording nerves).
I get them too.
Your playing tightens up a LOT about halfway through.
I'm about the reverse- first time and maybe the second sounds good,
and then I get nervous and fall apart on the third time!
Wouldn't it be nice if we could just somehow record our best playing
instead of our "recording nerves" playing?
I think the only answer is to record lots, and post the best.
It's also interesting that your favorite bands/musicians are all bluegrass except I don't know who Jason Carter is.
But your playing (so far anyway) is solidly Old Time.

Jason Carter plays in Del McCoury's band (yep, another bluegrasser). I like the early bluegrass best, and those bands/fiddlers I've listed that aren't from that time at least have a foot in that tradition.
I agree with your solution to 'recording nerves' -- I'll be more selective in future submissions!

I never get tired of hearing the Hangman's Reel. I could listen to those Quebcois tunes forever!

Good Job you´ve done here ! rough tune to play in standard tunings
its easier in odd tuning

It certainly is!
I jam mainly in 'bluegrass' circles so I try to learn tunes in 'Italian' tuning even IF I also have a cross-tuned version (like I do for this tune).
