great,dave! thanks for posting this.
i've been doing a little comparison between "J.S." and the Eddon Hammons tune "Big Hoedown".
Obvious similarity by key,structure, and pacing, and i'm thinking they're related. Time to do a little geography, and a time-line, see what i can figure.
