I learned this cross-tuned EDAE, but I like the D drone I've heard in some recordings so I went with DCGD... This fiddle (my favorite!) is a Guarneri copy made by Ottomar Hausmann.

I didn't possess the TECHNOLOGY to do this until a couple of months ago..
I just went with my intuition in playing the low part (I doubt it bows the same way twice!). Glad you liked the result!

So, I play it in sawmill tuning DGCD on my banjo with no capo
5th string to either g or a. and we will be an awesome duet! What a fun tune to get lost in!
