Posted some new MP3s and videos

Monday, March 1, 2010

Hi everyone.

It's been a couple years since I posted any music. Finally getting around to it.  I just uploaded 6 AEAE tunes to my home page here -

http://www.fiddlehangout.com/myhangout/music.asp?id=711

I also uploaded 5 videos last week to You-Tube.    These are all just me on unaccompanied fiddle.

The MP3s on my Fiddle Hangout home page are all AEAE tunes:

I feed my horse

Sail away ladies

Speed the plow

Spring's all muddy and the pond's all dry

Sweet'Bama

After a bunch of years of playing guitar, (electric R&B and acoustic blues) I discovered old time fiddle. A totally amazing instrument and music. I usually spend at least one, and sometimes several hours every day playing. I usually practice at around 6:00 A.M. for some reason...Sometime I fool around a little with some attempted old-time banjo, but I haven't put in enough time so far to get any good at it.. I like it a lot though.- it's just not as addictive to me as the fiddle. Always loved playing music... hope to do it for the duration... I think I had only been playing fiddle a couple of months when I got fed up with the traditional way of holding the instrument. I just couldn't get comfortable holding the instrument up with my neck... So one day I came up with my strap idea, and haven't played without it since.
