When I first got interested in Old Time Music I never dreamed I would ever try my hand at a fiddle. I'd tried to play a few notes on one here and there over the years and the bow had always felt like the most foreign thing possible. So I thought I'd take up the mandolin and play all these nice fiddle tunes on something I could pick. Of course, ultimately it never sounded enough like a fiddle to really satisfy me. So two and a half years ago I got a fiddle and got to work.
But, finally getting to the point, while I was learning the mandolin I recorded a bunch of fiddle tunes on my computer, with just mandolin and guitar. I can't play these tunes well enough on the fiddle yet to want to post my recent recordings, but I thought in the meantime I'd post some of the mandolin versions. Maybe someone will enjoy them.
