I have moved

Friday, September 25, 2015

As many of you already know, I have moved. I just realized I have never updated this social media account with details. I am now residing in Anchorage Alaska for the time being. I plan to get a chance to move to Wasilla at first opportunity.

I have found two jam sessions in Anchorage that have yielded what I hope to be great relationships to come!

The below Bio is from my website. Sorry for the formal sound of it. I'm lazy and dont want to re-format it. An addition to the below bio is that I have moved to Anchorage Alaska. Musically, I have been inactive for a few months and would like to reestablish connections in this region. Jeremy’s music quest began in 1986 when the five-year-old found a Harmonica and learned to play it. After that a Guitar was provided as a seventh birthday present and it continued to be the primary source of music enjoyment into his early twenties. In 2004, Jeremy picked up fiddle from a neighborhood girl and played jam sessions all over the states of Missouri and Arkansas. Moving on to mandolin, clawhammer style banjo, and most recently cello, Jeremy seeks to bring his twenty-seven years of musical experience into the field of Folk music with an emphasis on Traditional and Old-time music. Having played with bands such as Emily Dowden Band, Hot Ash Stringband, and most recently Peppersauce Alley, Jeremy has played venues such as the Arkansas Sounds Music Festival in Little Rock AR, the Old-Time Music, Ozark Heritage Festival in West Plains MO, and Wooley Creek Bluegrass Festival as well as local venues such as Copper Run Distillery, and Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park. Jeremy has also been featured in several videos produced by Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company where he regularly performs for their monthly festivals. In 2008, Jeremy self published his first CD called Johnny in the Briar Patch which was had a combination of traditional and original material. This CD focused on fiddle tunes primarily but also introduced some lyrics to songs normally played as instrumentals by other local musicians. The focus to produce another CD is underway and the new CD “My Little One’s Waiting For Me” is set to release mid to late 2014. Below is a sample of that CD. Arkansas Sounds PerformanceOver the years, Jeremy has been developing his solo performances and has incorporated fiddle, banjo, and guitar into his sets and having a full 2000 watt sound system setup, Jeremy can play for coffee houses, festivals, house parties, square dances, or any other event. He is also available as a fill in for existing bands. Jeremy is a Luthier and a local banjo builder who hand builds custom open-back banjos and his banjo building website can be found at www.OzarkSongbird.com Jeremy is also a certificated pilot and is capable of flying to venues out side of his home region. Banjos are currently on hold until Jeremy becomes more established in Anchorage Alaska.
