My Influences.

As a Musician, I've been influenced by many fantastic musicians over the years. Some are in person and others are via recorded media. It mostly began with the personal recordings of Bob Holt given to me to copy by a 16 year old prodigy named Ashley Hull, who is now married and is a momma. These old casette tapes were used so much they began to loose their quality to the extent that a tune was hard to make out...but I did. I would learn them as best as I could, then I would ask Ashley if I missed anything. Considering I was 23 years old at the time, asking a 16 year old for help was interesting.

As time went on, my "hearing" for the notes improved enough to begin picking tunes up via a jam session.

I have learned from many musicians in person such as:

Ashley Hull, David Scrivner, HK Silvey, Tricia Spencer, James Bryan, Emily Phillips, Pete Howard, Howard Marshall, John White, Jim Lansford, and Nathan McAllister.

I've learned from recordings of:

Bob Holt, Lonnie Robertson, Cyril Stinnett, Rhys Jones, Kenny Baker, Lyman Enloe, Art Galbraith, Art Stamper and many more which I cannot seem to recall right now.

Here's just one of the videos that I recovered from an old VHS given to me by Ashley Hull. I digitized it and uploaded it to Youtube.

This is the huge treasure trove of Missouri, Arkansas, and more that I've experienced.

I hope you enjoy these links.
