It's the first thing like this I've ever built. I'm pretty surprised by the sound and the volume. It's really better than I could have expected. It's made of birch plywood from Michael's Art store and I salvaged the neck, tuners, tail piece and neck block off a smashed fiddle a friend donated to me.

I'm not totally sure how long it took me, not really that long though. It was spread out over a couple of months just a few hours here and there. It came together pretty fast.

I'm taking a near month long trip down the Grand Canyon in January. This was built to take on that trip. Let's hope it holds up.
