Just strung up my #40 violin. As soon as I can find a camcorder I will post a sound bite. I am taking the day off and gluing the top on my own new fiddle. I have to carve 3 necks, 1 viola and 2 violin. Nothing like keeping busy!

I live and breathe making, repairing, restoring violin family instruments. I play when I can and much as I can. I studied violinmaking with Ray and Keith Doerr for the most part. My good friend and fellow violinmaker Brian Bishop consult on violins and bows, he is a wealth of information. I attended UNH Violincraftsman Insitiute for repair and advanced restoration. I also work and consult regularly with several other shops across the state of Michigan, as well as running my own. Whew!
