Been practicing playing licks, phrases and progressions using double stops. Especially ones that use the middle finger and pinky...it's definately a workout. Also slides and kinda bluesy links as well....mainly in a Bluegrass style.

My family is originally from Kentucky. My grandparents in Kentucky are responsible for being a huge influence regarding my love for Bluegrass, old country and old-time fiddlin/banjo, as I used to spend my three months of summer every year with my grandparents in Kentucky from the time I was about 7 or 8 years old way on up into my twenties. I have always been involved in music my whole life starting in band when I was real young all the way up to studying one year of music in college. I sang tenor and played mandolin in a bluegrass group for about 4 or 5 years called "Jerry Sanders & Seminole Ridge". Jerry used to sing and play in Carl Story's band back in the 80s. Now I am married and was living and working abroad in Argentina but have since returned to the US permanently. I originally came to South America to study the bible and do some missionary work and felt led personally by faith to stay around for a while and improve my spanish speaking skills. Lately after playing clawhammer Banjo and Mandolin, I've decided to take up Bluegrass and Old-Time Fiddle, mainly Bluegrass and I haven't looked back!
