Nice! This is often our ending tune at session :-)

Playing lately…hmm, last set I led:
Devanney’s Goat / Drunken landLady / Toss (D) Feathers

WOrking on:
Learning 'Providence' (reel)
TRying to get Lads of Laois into a set ...my most recent try was
LAfferty's / Lads of Laois / Monaghan Twig
it kinda seems ok, a little unusual...still pondering....?

Reelly life lately!

Today second day Hawks and Eagles. I found a nice recent fiddle lesson on this tune, it uses pulse technique. Now the tune finally makes sense to me. Using short bow strokes , it was difficult to make it a habit for up tempo tunes, but here we are :-)))

I was figuring out what to do for a Sunday gig. Probably call for a 30w amp. No biggie. Gonna run a drum app into the line-in.
Testing setups with a 1 - 5 thing. Gotta be danceable.
Messed around with House of the Rising Sun. That's a fun one.

House of the Rising Sun.

Here's my solo at the local Sunday night open mic, more than 15 years ago.

House of the Rising Sun

I thought i had recorded this song already, and that's why, good or bad, I pretty much record everything.

Yay day 3 and I made the click .

my aha-moment (with wooden mute on) + me trying to speed up.

The art is knitting it together without dropping a stitch!

Is that also ADAE?

I just started with Down at the Mouth of Old Stinson, what an incredibly fun tune to learn! It's in ADAE plus it's crooked, hurray!

I'm learning White River Bottoms, and on the instrument I keep in AEAE, one called Jenny Run Away In The Mud In The Night.

Oh that's a nice one! Learned Jenny Run Away In The Mud In The Night with the website of Michael Ismerio. Good one for me to practise tomorrow, it's been a while ago.

Here no tunes today, it was a very hot day and now it has called down, it's the middle of the night and suddenly I miss my fiddle!! It is not the moment to feel like playing :p

Yesterday it was Jack Tar, and Shamus O'Brian.
Today it was, Beaumont Rag, and Faded Love with lefthand piano comp. Then I went over to the synth comp for Jerusalem Ridge, and a 1-4-5 tune in Am.

Rocky Road to Dublin / Comb your Hair & Curl It / Dusty Miller
(inspired by Marla Fibish's lovely set for first two tunes!)

Also been playing a slow tune with a Gaelic name that I can't spell, pronounce or write...haha.
