I had to record this tune for my guitar player so I thought I'd share it with you guys too. Seems like several of you really like the waltzs. I am playing on a Richard Williams Sr. Violin 2006 from KC Strings, courtesy of Woodwiz while my vintage fiddle is getting a tune-up that it has needed for a LONG time. This fiddle is really nice for the money. It is very easy to play and even more responsive to the touch than my good fiddle. Evil Temptor.

Yup Diane - you're definitely a waltz maven.
You ought to consider cutting a CD of OT waltzes. We don't play enough waltzes out here in the East and it's hard to name an OT string band that plays one. Waltzes need to get inserted back into the OT repertoire. Inserting waltzes would improve everybody's bowing, give the musicians a chance to rest, remind the listeners of the many things plain old pretty music has to offer, and give the dancers a chance to hold one another close.... :-)

Yep, the waltzes separate the men from the boys and the ladies from the girls. Thanks for sharing this with us, Diane.
Vivian Williams has an eponymously named album (Waltzes: Vivian Williams) that I haven't bought yet for lack of discretionary funds. You can find her album by copying this into your browser: http://www.voyagerrecords.com/catnw.htm

Very sweet playing. Great double-stops and very tender vibrato. Now THAT'S a waltz!!!

I just listened to this again, and it reminds me of Texas. I hope I'm not offending Kansas in any way.
