This is a very old tune going back to Scotland's bagpiping and Gaelic mouth music traditions long ago. Also known as "Hop High Ladies " and " Did you ever see the Devil Uncle Joe " Here I am fiddling it in FCFC tuning with Tony Holmquist playing banjer in F . It was played in AEAE in Scotland long ago, but most Old Time musicians play it in G, standard fiddle tuning. Be warned, there is a screech at the begining, a little editing mistake.

This schottische was named after the Heywood dancehall in Norway Maine and composed by Mellie Dunham in that same town. He was Henry Ford's champion square dance fiddler back in the 20's and 30's, touring the country. I am playing it here on the D Liecestershire smallpipe ( inddoor bagpipe)

This an Australian tune I learned from a CD of Greg O'Leary's playing via Terri Lukacko. It is related to the Irish song/tune " Spanish Ladies " . Terri has been exchanging Old Timey - Aussie Bush tunes in Tasmania and mainland Australia for several years now. Here I am playing it with Terri and other friends at Lake Genero 2008. The fiddles are tuned ADAE
