This is probably my absolute favorite to play. Not sure what it is about this one, but I was in love with it from the moment I first heard it. I recorded this a couple weeks ago, and it's a lot cleaner and a good clip faster now, so I'll have to get a new recording up eventually. Dynamics and articulations have come a long way as well. Performed this one in front of 400 people last weekend and got them all clapping and stamping along--what a rush!

This is a springar dance from Telemark (where my fiddle is from). The first springar I learned, and a great tune! Double stops all the way.

This was the first tune I learned in its entirety. It's a reinlender, so strictly speaking it's not Norwegian, but an imported dance form that has become a major part of the dance repertoire here. Been playing this one since September 2007, when I first picked up the fiddle. Not my best playing, but it's what I've got recorded!

This is my first attempt at playing the regular fiddle, and my first shot at bluegrass. Apologies for sections of poor intonation--the neck is a lot longer than my hardingfele so everything feels like a real stretch for my fingers. Once I started to get the tune down, I realized I was adding lots of hardingfele ornaments...playing it with a Norwegian accent, if you will. So I decided to play off of that and make it into a telespringar!
