Today I watched a video on Youtube with Stuart Duncan, Chris Thile, Edgar Meyer, and Yo Yo Ma. quite a combination of musicians don't ya think? As I was wathcing this video I just kept thinking, wow...These two bluegrass players with these two classical players (although both very versatile) have come together to make this wonderful music that made goosebumps creep up over my body from head to toe. It is amazing to me to see such an amazing celloist who i have known since I was little, who I saw once animated on an Arthur episode, who is basically the best cello player in the world play with Chris Thile and Stuart Duncan. I know that those two musicians are amazing and it would be the coolest thing to see but, the Bluegrass world has always seemed so much smaller than any other music because it is just not the most common. So it always seems more possible to me to meet one of those two musicians than Yo Yo Ma! But, there they were playing an awesome three song set at "Tiny Desk" making the most beautiful sounding music! It is these kind of videos that inspire me. Every time i watch this I just think, "I am going to do this! I am going to practice everyday for two hours, go to as many festivals as possible, and become a musical sponge!!!" These kind of videos are what keep me playing and what determine me to become a professional musician!
