Celtic Woman ~ I'm in awe of the barefooted blonde fiddler who jumps all over the stage, plays like a speed demon and never gets her hair tangled up in her bow or trips over her long multi-layered skirts!

Took marimba lessons at 6 but my parents quickly made me stop the lessons after the instructor told them I could play my older sisters music perfectly just by listening to her take her lesson. Earned my first guitar at 11 by embroidering hundreds of bookmarks and selling them to schoolfriends and neighbors for a dime a piece. Later added recorder, piano, keyboards, harmonica, ocarina, dulcimer, autoharp, violin/fiddle, and banjo.
I'm retired since being diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (abusive husband drained the bank accounts, sold our business and home, and absconded with two of my youngest daughters 5 years ago...) Left MA in the middle of the night after getting a death threat from him and headed to Georgia with our autistic son because I knew we'd be safe here: My husband's been petrified of the South since he saw "Deliverance" 31 years ago! LOL
Lots of time to play (I avoid using the word practice), and music has not only soothed my soul, but helped heal my broken heart.
