Have played with bluegrass, oldtime, Irish, western swing, and swing bands. Twice Wisconsin state champion (a long time ago!). Author of several fiddle books published by Mel Bay, including Oldtime Fiddling Across America, Anthology of Fiddle Styles, and Anthology of Jazz Violin Styles (just reissued). I record and play with my family in the Reiner Family Band, and have played with Granite Grass as well. And I've been hosting Fiddle Hell Massachusetts the last 21 years (more info on my website).
