My wife will have been out of town for a total of about 8 weeks.. Just two more weeks and she will return. Naturally, I miss her.. However, her absence has allowed me to have at least two jams a week at my home. A few have been large but mostly I'm trying to keep them small (six or fewer).. That has Not been an easy thing to do. It has been fun having different combinations of musicians present. Last nights jam was such that nobody knew everyone and there was a lot of hand shaking going on. My daughter, Katie (hangout member and fiddler), said that it was one of the best jams I'd ever hosted... She was right. Jams are not just about music ( well, ok, they are Mostly about music), but personalities get into it also..Watching new people react to each other is a fun part of the process.
