YOU get to decide what will offend you and I get to decide what will offend me..We could choose different things to be offended about. However, no matter what we choose to be offended by, WE get to decide to be offended or not...The funny part is that when someone does or says one of those offending thing..we blame THEM.. I'd call that insanity. I don't know what you call it..

I wonder when the term(s) Irish (or Appalachian, Klezmer, Cajon etc etc etc) music will become offensive to some folks.

You know...notlwonk...that really vexes me; indeed, I've got IrishKlez (etc.) blood and wow does your calling that music...oh it irks and vexes, vexes and irks, bothers and discombobulates yessereeee. And, Lee, how dare you not allow that it's everyone else's fault for how I feel. I say send everyone else off to therapy so I feel better! You know, since it's their fault....

Well, Humbled..You may be right..If the whole world would just play fiddles and Hangout, all of our problems would be solved...Some people think that winning the lottery will solve their problems and some think that if they could just get to a remote, tropical island that their problems would go away.. Me? I'm hoping that they 'Beam Me Up".....(I've been watching all of the UFO whistle blower videos lately)

My humblest apologies Humbled. I shall now humble myself and go to a therapy session with my German fiddle and play a Finnish tune. Or maybe play an English tune on my French fiddle.

There is certainly music that lacks all personality and point of view. We call it 'elevator' music. Is there any such music that fiddles (notice I didn't say 'violins') play?
