I got my Christmas gift early this year. Atlantic Strings in Orlando had a sale going on through Cyber Monday regarding Violin bows. I have been desperately needing a new bow for some time now as my old freebie I got barely has any hair yet and its a cheap bow anyways. I went down and fell in love after trying out a few, with the GVC Academy CF bow. These are the bows I believe "Fiddlerman" endorses. Its much more responsive and better balanced than my other ones and has real horse hair instead of synthetic. I feel my bowing has improved with this bow. Pulling long, clean bows seems so much easier and when crossing strings it has a nice touch and feel to it. For the first time I really understood what you guys meant about better bows. This bow normally is about 300 dollars but I got it for 189. I am very pleased with it. The store also reset my crooked soundpost as well. Very nice folks at Atlantic strings.
