Things are so busy hectic right now my head is spinning. I got laid off from my job but have negotiated a good settlement ( by law ) that will carry us through and give us some cash that we can use to buy a car when we get to the US.
it's allowed me more downtime to take advantage of some good practicing during this time, even though we are also painting, getting things in order and practicing for my wifes VISA interview which comes up next month.
I've recently worked up what I think is a cool little version of "Billy In The Lowground" in "C" and also "Big Mon" in "A". Finally I'm working on "Brown County Breakdown" in "E" and out of the three, this one needs the most work but it's coming along. I wish I could record some videos, I'll try to do so amongst the fray here soon. With all that's going on, taking care of my 2 year old son, it leaves time for good practice and nothing more.
I want to take advantage of this downtime before I start working again. We will return to the US in August and I already have 3 solid interviews lined up as I've been job searching for some time now. Hopefully be able to pick up my fiddle lessons then as well as they are temporarily on hold.
