How can it get any better?? The music was just phenomenal - not to mention the fiddling. In fact, you could hardly see the musicians for all of the fiddlers! You might find those who play "other stuff", but the old-time contingent was the largest I have known - ever ... and we outnumbered any other fiddle style. In addition, there is a crop of young folks taking a keen interest in the indigenous music of the Ozarks much due to the efforts of Scott and Shay Poole and David Smith and a host of others. I have hope. I can hardly wait until next year. I've got a whole pile of great tunes to learn!!
