Well, it's December, this year has gone by SOOO fast! At the end of February 2015 will mark officially the 1 year mark for me on my Fiddle journey! It's amazing how, when I was a kid starting middle-school, the Fiddle was the 1st instrument I asked my folks for that I wanted to learn, but they said "No" "Pick something easier. Well, here I am 29 or 28 some years later and I've come full circle! I mean, I've heard fiddle all my life but it's like when I heard my parents say that it was like internally something said "well, that instruments too hard like they said" But look at me now! It's truly like I've come complete circle in my musical life and somehow the Fiddle is truly the beginning of something new and wonderful for me. I wish I HADN'T listened to mom and dad!
I can't believe how addicting and enjoyable of an instrument it is too play. Sometimes it can frustrate you and it may seem that the plateaus are longer while the jumps are kinda short. But, I can't get enough of Fiddle, it makes me want more, want to REALLY play! I'm really surprised by that. There's always something new with this instrument.
My New Years resolution is just to continue what I'm doing and taking lessons with my online fiddle teacher. I plan on soaking up and learning as much as I can this year in particular on the fiddle. What about you?
