Hi Folks,
Finally back in Ohio for the summer. First time in years I'll be here for the entire summer. I will be doing a camp for banjo and fiddle together July 18-20 at the homestead. Still a couple of spots left.
New this summer I have started doing tune lessons here through the Hangouts. First banjo (clawhammer) one is up (or should be soon) - Polly Put the Kettle On at http://www.banjohangout.org/topic/285367. Eric picked a great title for the section as well, Tunetorials! Exactly what they are. Still working out the recording and promoting kinks but this should be a great way to learn some tunes and see how I actually play them. I'll be working from my tunebooks Old Time Festival Tunes and Old Time Favorites and plan to do fiddle versions as well. Let me know what tunes you might like to have and see as well as how these videos are working for you.
Not much else new for now. Keep an eye on the website (www.Clawdan.com) for gig updates. Already filling in for next season out west. Planting and mowing is on the agenda for now, a visit from you could be added!
I'll let you know as soon as the fiddle versions are up.
Play Nice,
Dan
