I've played fiddle for a few years now,and I held back on playing more due to my cat not liking it much and that fact the E string hurt my ears. The idea of viola hit me, and after exploring it on the web,decided to go for it.I got a very decent viola for opening bid on sBay (used) and it's wonderful. Set up beautifully! So I'm learning alto clef and transposing Old TIme tunes from treble clef to viola tab. Absolutely having a blast.
I also make fiddle/viola accessories and love doing crazy quilting for that.
