I have been doing some research on Arizona fiddlers K.C. Kartchner and Viola Ruth.... here is a text file that includes a lot of information about them
That will get you to a dropbox file that you can download.
I posted the same link in a posting on the Facebook page of the AOTFA and along with it on the same posting, a dropbox link to a photocopy of Viola Ruth's 1948 "Western Pioneer Folk Tunes"

Very nice scholarly effort. I couldn't find the dropbox link for the Viola 'Mom' Ruth book of tunes on the AOTFA Facebook page. Any thoughts on what it might take to find it?
Thanks.

Bubba - the same AOTFA posting has both the links, Not sure why it wouldn't appear. I don't think you have to join the AOFTA Facebook group to see it, but I could be wrong.. will look into it.

Much thanks, Dry. Again, very nice job on your research.
I'm not a facebook person but I do have someone who could access it for me (if that's the problem). What date was it posted?

Try out the tune "Mud on the Wheel" and see how you like it. Play nice! Matt

Dry and dusty says that kartchner’s tunes are available online? I found a cassette of em in a Utah library, 700 miles away ~ but she won’t share
