Not really. I'm up here lurking every day or so.
I just had a really productive weekend ( many aren't so much, for one reason or another). My banjo buddy and I went to busk in Tombstone on Saturday morning for "Wyatt Earp Days", one of several festivals put on by the town every year. It was really crowded, and the crowd was very receptive to our music.
We left about noon, it was getting pretty warm anyhow, and we ran out of shade.( I don't fiddle in direct sun if the temp is over 70.) Our jam group recently lost its venue, the restaurant/tavern closed its doors. so all of us have been looking for a new place to play. Jim and I thought that we would check out a guest ranch west of Tombstone that has an old west theme and a restaurant and saloon under the same management. Everyone there seemed to think it would be a great idea. So we are waiting for the final word from the manager. I am optimistic. Look it up on google. Its called Apache Spirit Guest Ranch. I think we might well have some symbiosis going on there.
Then I drove to Tucson for a wonderful jam at a private home (J-walk is a member here).
Then yesterday and today I just fiddled ALL day. It was great. I'm working on a few tunes, including a couple I picked up in Tucson." Wizard on the Hill", "Chinquapin Hunting", "Red Prairie Dawn", "Joys of Quebec", Indian Corn" and Oklahoma Rooster. That ought to keep me smiling for a couple weeks.
Just about a year from now I'm going to retire back to Illinois. I look forward to finally meeting a lot of you folks that I read on this site, and hopefully swapping some tunes.
