...of looking at that old photo of a hippy fiddler in desperate need of a "Shave and a Haircut"! ;^)
So I decided, since I'm now clean shaven, to use Posey Rorer as my avatar. I was looking up some old song on YouTube, ended up listening to Charlie Poole songs, and got intrigued with Posey Rorer's bowing. I may talk more about that later.
Hint.... I hear a lot of syncopation going on in his bowing! :-D
But I also actually got sick. Literally. Saturday I woke up feeling kind of achy and arthritic, took a shower to loosen up, and pretty soon I was running a fever.
Sunday I felt better in the morning, but then it went into this nausea that is well...
nauseating. It never really feels like I'm going to lose my lunch, but I've been sitting on the porcelain throne a bit more than usual. But the biggest symptom is just this nausea... and a weird headache.
It's odd.... I've had worse nausea, and worse headaches, but for only being moderately bad, they really manage to make me feel awful.
So I haven't been playing fiddle all that much. I still have Booker with the synthetics tuned up to standard as I had it on Thursday to play with Dan Levenson and Bob Carlin.
For some reason, I was reminded of Cuffy, and started trying to play it, also some old G tune from some 78 that starts out a bit like Flying Clouds, but then goes in a different direction. Both G tunes... how like me!

I don't know Posey Rorer's music, but I'd love to hear about his syncopated bowing. Please get better and post your thoughts soon! Are you a fan of G tunes, too?

"G tunes: What's Not to Like?"
Cyndy: To hear Posey Rorrer just pull up some Charlie Poole songs on U-Tube.

The only problem with G tunes is that I like them so much I neglect my A tunes and C tunes.
Thanks for the positive feedback on the avatar.
