I have been paying for my viola quarterly for years, and today I made my last payment. My viola really belongs to me now, although I've felt that it's part of me for a long time. Yay! I'll add some photos of it now.

Yes, it was. That's the only way I'd buy an instrument or recommend buying to a student. I live near a very good luthier who rents to own for a ridiculously low monthly or quarterly price. Their instruments are very good, and so is their service.
