I recently bought another 1800s Hoff but the set up was not right. I bought new strings, new bridge but for the life of me could not get it to sound right. Folks let me tell you even a master mechanic runs across a problem he can't solve so I ask a fiddle hang out member for advice and he stayed with me until the set up was right. We even talked on the phone. WOW! Fiddle hang out is the best thing to happen to me in a long time. We fiddlers need to stick together. Amen!

Halelujah, and Amen to that! I've gotten help and great advice, made new friends, one of whom I've met face to face, and one who I will soon, as well as virtual friends, I've bought myself a fiddle, found jams to go to, gotten paying work, and more, and I've not been a member all that long. This spot on the web is one of the best. But what else can you expect from fiddlers? :-)
