We sure did have a fun time! There were several Hangout members there as well: FiddlerFaddler from Chicago, Fishin' Musician drove down from Stoughton, and Midwestern Fiddler (he's a Cheese head now). Member lg was going to put in an appearance but she sent word of a family emergency. Leslie came down from Milwaukee and played some guitar and Cajun accordian (sadly I couldn't get any other members of the Milwaukee Cajun scene). My bajo pickin' friend Don Voss, a former student of mine (15 year old Colton), plus Jeff "Riley" Worrell, and a couple members of my band (Ron & Marcy & Doris). We played some Garry Harrison tunes, a bunch of Salyer tunes, and I'd have to say the best tune of the day was Melvin Wine's Cold Frosty Morn, which isn't the tune you all might know by that name. I've since learned it real well. We also did Elk River Blues from Ernie Carpenter.

Well I appreciated all who came. It wouldn't have been much fun without all the great people that came. I especially appreciate that most had to travel 40-60 miles! Dare I say there is more to life than worrying about the price of petrol?
