I still have not figured out the Gallery option on the WordPress stuff, but I did manage to get the Chronology of my instruments back up and visible on the website...it shows all my instruments (except a couple for which I have no photos) in descending order, last to first.

It has been very frustrating, trying to rebuild that site...serves me right for being careless and destroying it, I s'pose. In a way, it is probably to my benefit, as it is forcing me to learn computer stuff that I never would have learned otherwise. I bought the book, "Complete Idiot's Guide to WordPress". It seems appropriate. :-)
Other News:
The del Gesu model violin is postponed a little: I discovered that I had shifted the template a tiny bit when laying out the f-holes, so, in spite of the fact that the plate "looked good" and had a great tap-tone, and the purfling was excellent-- it is firewood. So I built a new plate, and will have it ready for photos soon. (sigh...) Expensive error. I have the plate ready to purfle and can probably have it complete by this Saturday evening (9/29). Then I can get that fiddle onto the home-stretch.
The scroll is well begun, but I am trying to get ready for winter, too, so there are a lot of other things happening. Cleaned the chimney, trimmed a tree, and am busy closing in some lean-to space in a couple of outbuildings. Might even wire in some lights and receptacles. :-)
A young man who is building his first viola (piecemeal, over a period of years) came Saturday, so I worked with him all day. He is copying the Gasparó da Saló 1580 viola, purfling weave and all. Even the wonky-looking scroll. Looks quite good, actually, for someone who had never used a tool before. Slow progress, though.
