Tonight I graduated the front plate and cut out the f-holes. The arching is pretty low-- I thought I had made it taller than the original, but it is only 14.3mm. I have made others with that exact arching that turned out OK, so, who knows...maybe it will be fine.
The back is 15.8mm. I have not begun the back graduations, beyond a few half-hearted scoops out of the middle--that European maple is tough stuff.
Maybe I can accomplish more tomorrow, but for tonight I have had enough.
