Webster-Chicago Wire Recorder to "give-away"

Posted by charlie.walden on Tuesday, June 5, 2012

I've got this 50s era Webster-Chicago Wire Recorder that I've been tripping over in my various basements for about 30 years. It's the same model that R. P Christeson used to record Bob Walters, Bill Driver, etal, for his tune collections. I got it in the early 80s to use in an exhibit. Anyway, having moved it four times I'd like to let someone else have it. Doesn't work - missing the power chord and microphone. Really just a conversation piece. Weighs 35 lbs! If anyone in this group wants it I'll ship it to you for the cost of the shipping + $15 to cover packing material. I just did a trial cost estimate of UPS ground from here to Philly , for example, and it came in at approximately $33.
