The FFOTM had a great event this last weekend (May 30 thru June 2).
I do think musical campouts tend to be one of my favorite types of musical gatherings, so I started toward this event with rather high expectations.
A pretty good mix of Old Time and Bluegrass musicians attended. Some of the jams ran late into the night Friday and Saturday. There were a number of good jams to choose from during the day Saturday and Sunday.
Well organized dinner (pot luck sides) on Saturday and delicious breakfast on Sunday.
And of course the people were wecloming and friendly to all. Overall, the event exceeded my expectations.
It was well worth the 200 mile trip each way.
I understand there will be a Fall Campout too. I will keep the hangout informed.
