I'd gotten to a place where I'm mostly pretty happy with my main fiddle.
But I tried a really nice acoustic guitar I can't afford, and so I HAD to tweak my present one so I can be satisfied with it.
Then, I'd been thinking about making a new bridge for my banjo. I found some beechwood kitchen utensils, and that's supposed to be good bridge material. And it's been fun, and the banjo does sound MUCH better.

Rich,
I used a bit of aluminum -foil under my guitar saddle to do the same thing... it was only a very slight buzz on the E string.
