I see after looking at the E string post earlier and looking at Musicians friends site, I noticed that D'addario has changed the packaging of the 311 series strings. I also noticed, if I am correct that the price came down a little. Has the quality of these strings changed? Any one experienced the new ones yet versus old?

Yeah, I havent had any noise issues with the E string. I use the Helicore's on my Zeta strados. I usually buy strings in bulk twice a year. Generally in the fall and the late spring. Little more in the spring because my gig schedule can be playing 6-7 gigs a week. Lots of them are out door gigs near the ocean so every thing gets covered. Thats were the zeta gets played the most because I dont want the old acoustics out in the hot sun. So till yesterday was the first time that I saw the package change on the Hellicores upon visiting Mus frnd site. I used to get the Hellicores at Firs Quality music but the dont carry them any more.
