It's been a while since I have posted anything of any sorts, but that soon will change. I hasve been hanging around TradConnect ( http://tradconnect.com/ ) which is another social site for those interested in Irish/Celtic (mostly Irish) Traditional Folk music.
Pierre Shryer (noted Canadian folk fiddler) has now moved to the Thunder Bay area and is hosting a somewhat large public Irish/Celtic Sessions here in town. We are also learning some Quebecois, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland tunes. I have also been involved in a home style Session meeting consisting of accordion, guitar, tenor banjo, whistle, bodhran, and of course a couple of fiddles. Fun stuff!!!
I am back in the saddle from a 2 yr holiday from performing. A little nervous though. I don't know why, but I am.
Planning on going to the Goderich Celtic Folk Festival (just 2 hrs north of London Ontario) this summer in August. So if any folks in the Michigan area are looking for a great fest to go to, check out: http://www.celticfestival.ca/
Hoping all is going well with everyone, and have a great year.
AJ
