Well I've been playing the fiddle for about a year now. I take lessons from Rachel Johnson (The Dixie Bee Liners) and I play in my highschool Gospel Bluegrass Class. We've done several shows and hope to play at the Rhythm and Roots Festival this summer. So that's exciting. (: Right now I'm working on Orange Blossom Special. Kudos to anyone who can play it. Haha.

Well bless your soul, darling! If you are anywhere near Pigeon Forge, then next year you should come hear Orange Blossom Special played by Christian Dowell backed up by his siblings, whose family band is called Truth Be Told. They will play Sunday night, March 22, and Monday night, March 23, 2009. If you are interested, I can find out for you which night they will play it, or you can go to their dad's website at http://www.magnifiedword.com/ and contact him yourself to ask.
If you want to play some music in the Smokies, I usually put ensembles together to back up some Gospel tunes, and you'd be welcome to bring your fiddle. We play a few songs, instrumentals and even a cappella hymns that Sunday, and then throughout the week of the Great Smoky Mountain Grace Bible Conference.
