Well, we're in Montana right now, at the Seeley Lake library. My mom took a few of us kids to "Greg Boyd's House of Fine Instruments" :) this morning. He has a neat shop. He took my sister, Courtney, and me into his workshop, which was really cool!
We're going to play at Seeley Lake Baptist Church tonight. Then it's on to visit Tom Nechville in Minnesota. I can't wait! He's got the new, "girl" banjo that he wants Courtney to try out. Hopefully we'll get to do it...ran into a bunch of snow up here in the passes, and Minnesota is pretty far up north. But if we do get to I'll put pics in here!

Forgive my asking, but what is a "girl" banjo? Does it have a slimmer neck? Thinner neck? Fewer frets? Not as big of a head (bowl)? Mainly just curious.

Yes, a slimmer neck, and a MUCH lighter tone ring, among other things...I think you can look it up on the neckville website.

I am SOOOO excited! My sister is getting the VERY first Athena (girl banjo) so if you see Nechville*(spell check up there!) any where you can see my sister's banjo! I'll do a new post here about it as soon as I can, but I gotta hit the road now! From Illinois, Nikki
