Well i finally tuned the fiddle now I'm trying to play my first chords starting with the g chord, I'm having a bit of trouble though as my bow keeps veering off to the bride . I'm trying to keep the bow straight but i guess practice makes perfect uh.

Simple, think of your right hand as if you are going to shake somebodies hand, that is about the position it should be in to bow straight across the strings... it will seem awkward at first , but try it.
Play Happy

It helps to watch your bowing in a mirror.

Just try to keep the Bow between the fret board and the bridge and again watch the bow keep it perpendicular to the strings. Try not to bow at an angle either direction.
You'll get it you learn to play the Fiddle much the same way you get to Carnegie Hall...Practice, Practice, Practice. :)
