Well, the good thing is that I have located most of my friends. The bad thing is that the fire ( called the "Monument Fire") has really blown up with the wind. We can see that the fire has jumped the 92 again at Miller canyon. I think that I can see plumes of smoke on Carr peak. The Planes and Helos had been grounded because of the wind in the mountains. They are attacking the fire where it crossed into the grassy flats. Gotta love those aircrews! I sure hope that they are successful. The P3's can dump a lot of slurry. We are seeing P3s here for the first time. P2s have been carrying the brunt of the work, sometimes right on the deck. I have begun packing my vehicle, just in case. I dont think it will get to where I live, but I didn't think it would get to where it has either. There have been many new evacuations ordered this afternoon,,,thousands of homes.
