For the past 2 days i was a part of relay for life or what i called"OLD TIME FOR RELAY" and there is nothing that makes playing music more wroth while than to see the smile on peoples faces when they hear they're favorite old time tune.
If this is the reason everyone else is playing(other than pure love of the music) then your in the right buisness!

My wife grabbed a wash tub and i got the fiddle out and we played for 2 days for the event. It was a wonderful experience.
