Of the 7 new recordings of original tunes I posted last week, I've been feeling nervous about Farmhouse at Sunset \ Evening Rain. It's an unusual tune. I think of it as a Celtic-jazz hybrid. It starts as a slow, reflective waltz and turns into a jazz slip jig (9/8).
Shawn Qaissaunee plays a beautiful guitar solo on the recording. I suspect that it may have been the first time that he played a slip jig. :))
Please give the tune a listen and let me know what you think of it. As I mentioned, it's the one that I feel nervous about. I'm quite happy with how the other recordings turned out. Last night I received a nice complement about one of my tangos from a composer in Argentina. It was great to hear that.
