Well, I'm am just AEAE crazy right now. Every tune I'm learning right now is in AEAE and I really like the sound. It's gotten to the point where I rarely go back to any other tuning. I force myself back to standard to practice chords (most of the time). It's such a pain to go back and forth. I really need another fiddle or perfection pegs or something. I play a few tunes in standard and then back to AEAE. Right now I'm having fun with these tunes in AEAE:
Jenny Lynn
Dinah
Sugar in the Gourd
Liza Jane
Old Christmas (new) this is my fav version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itspHF9KHK8
Cotton Eyed Joe (new) this is my fav version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Baa69JmHJc
I've tried them in GDGD also and they're pretty good there too but AEAE is better :)

Do you belong to Fiddle-L? If not, search the archives. People there just posted huge lists of AEAE tunes.
I bought a second fiddle (a budget one from ebay that Woodwiz tweaked for me) when I started working on a lot of AEAE tunes. I'm glad I did it . . .

Can you come over to the Black Creek Fiddler's Reunion, Stew? Memorial Day weekend. We'll be playing some cross-tuned tunes fer sure!

I know many folks who have fallen into AEAE and never come out again....

Hey Terri,
I was thinking of taking the whole family there for the weekend but now relatives are visiting. What are some other ones this summer that you folks will be at? Do you go to the Harry Smith Frolic?

Yup, Harry Smith is a good one for kids. There's a pool and a stream. Then, Lake Genero in northern Pennsylvania on Labor Day weekend. Catch up with you one of these days.
