Hi to all my Fiddle hangout friends! Red Hen Stringband has been in the studio this weekend recording our new cd called Birds of Feather-it should be out in time for festival season on the Wepecket Island Records Label.
Having a great time at Cotton Hill Studios in Albany, with engineer Ace Parkhurst and Jack Radcliffe (Wepecket Records Pres>) laying down some awesome songs and tunes (a few new ones of mine!) including a raucus version of Walk Like an Egyptian (we are putting that one down today!). Red Hen will also be revamping our website in the next month too so lots going on.
Festivals for me this summer include Old Songs (June 26-28) www.oldsongs.org, Falcon Ridge (www.falconridgefolk.org) and Champlain Valley (www.cvfest.org ) with Red Hen, and of course Clifftop with Red Hen where we will be hosting the New Music Open Mic on Thursday!
