amazing grace and slurs

I have been tryoing tolearn amazing grace from the book the parking lot pickers lol! Those slurs from b to 3 rd position g is a little different. I recenty read a post about intopnation as well. Lots of advice from different fiddlers on how to practice and have been working on that too.

its easy think of the tune it a little fast gilgans island slow house of rising sun be leave me any tune with a good metter timeing it will work i learned this years ago

The first time I played the Irish aire "The Water is Wide", for my wife, she said "Oh, in church we use that melody for the words to "Amasing Grace". Beautiful words, beautiful melody. When I would do it on guitar, I would use a drone string and try to mimic a bagpipe ( or technically I guess it's referred to as a "set" of bagpipes.)
